Very few banks (even listed ones) will accept them.

We recently had a guest who had his cheques refused by 6 major banks in Reims (not remote branches but the main ones in the city)

In Paris some specialized currency change shop will accept them but will claim a fee.

At ‘Les Telliers’ B&B , we accept payments in cash, French cheques in Euro, ANCV holiday cheques.

We have no credit card terminal at home.

Noels de Champagne : A way of cribs will cross the vineyards. About 40 towns and villages invite you to discover many cribs of different sizes and origins, through greedy exhibitions. Choirs, orchestras, Christmas markets and villages, typical animations will paved this happy and magic way.

Féeries de Champagne in Epernay are particularly appreciated, please check Epernay tourist office for more information (not updated yet)

In Reims the Christmas market is very appreciated, it is composed of about 135 stalls, a ski track in Buirette street, Santa Claus castle, and has many events from last week end  of November until december 30th.

Reims tourist office Reims is a destination for Christmas with a host of festive and cultural events from late November to late January: Christmas village, various exhibitions, concerts, illuminations.

In few words: nice persons, lovely rooms, and fine cooking !

Wignicourt is situated near Rethel and is about 65 km far from Reims.

Reims city is very attractive and lively until late in September see here: un été dans la ville ( summer in the city)

Keep in mind that this is last month for Reims Cathedral light show , it will be displayed in September until Sunday 23rd; from Thursday to Sunday at 9pm (except on the 22nd at 10pm)

You may choose 5 or 10 activities along Champagne route. There is no choice on activities but they ll add so more next year.

This impressive show has attracted up to 10000 persons per night in 2011.

The Cathedral is litteraly painted again like it may have been centuries ago. It is very impressive to have this 87m high monument shining at night.

Decoration and stalls recall good old times. They basically are a fine grocery but they are able to serve you a full plate for around 20 Euro and recommend a nice wine or Champagne that perfectly fits your meal.

It is one of these events that is memorable and is a great ambassador of Reims city all over the world. Imagine a live show displayed on a 87 m high Cathedral front, literally painting it again like it may have been in the past.

It ll be shown again at nightfall during Reims Christmas market: from November 25th until December 31st.
